20 June 2014 - Jessee - I was so excited to trial these gorgeous little swim pants for my 3 year old son. I received a phone call from the company and spoke with a lovely lady to ensure that I received a perfect match for my son. The customer service was excellent. We attend swimming lessons on a weekly basis and were very excited to see how they worked as we have been using disposable swimming nappies. The toggles fit absolutely perfectly and my son seemed so comfortable and not restricted. They washed easily and the quality of the pants are excellent. The quality of these pants are fantastic I can't recommend them highly enough.
16 June 2014 - Sarah - To date we have been using disposable swim nappies (which I always felt so guilty about) and since my daughter recently became toilet trained some plastic lined reusable swim bottoms. The plastic lined bottoms did not contain all that we hoped they would :/ so we were excited to see how these went.
They fit perfectly;and my daughter was excited about wearing them. I like that they toggles allow for a perfect fir;and may ensure lengevity. I liked the extra coverage that they gave (sun safety and all that) as well as the security against accidents. We didn't have any accidents any of the times we used them so I cannot comment on their 'containability' but looking at the shorts I am certain that they would keep any accidents safely hidden away until you are able to change them.
I was worried that once we were finished swimming and they were all waterlogged that they might be difficult to transport home;but most of the water squeezed out of them no problems at all. They washed easily and the quality of the pants is excellent. They are expensive;but I wouldn't hesitate to pay for the quality and reusability of these pants.
The only thing I would change is that my 3 year old daughter is not a huge fan of black;but that didn't stop her from wearing them!
15 June 2014 - Josie - The first thing I thought when looking at the swim pants (compared to swim nappies that we have previously been using for my 2.5 year old Son) is the lasting quality of the shorts. They are made of proper wetsuit material with the "little secret" of keeping in any accidents that your child might do while in the water.
Having a baby and a toddler; I especially like these as "big boy" pants;instead of the "baby" nappy - I'm crossing my fingers it'll help get us closer to toilet training soon; but not holding my breath!
I love that they come in a full range of sizes so that older children who may require the extra security can wear something which looks just like swim shorts;not any sort of nappy.
The fit was snug (which is what you want for these sorts of things) and my Son got very excited having new swimmers to wear.
12 June 2014 - Davette - I was really excited to receive the Swim Pants to trial with my 2 year old daughter. We go swimming weekly and have been using the disposable nappies every week. Whilst the disposable nappies we buy are within her weight range I didn't find them to look very comfortable or really fit her shape. Then comes the Conni Kids Toggle Swim Pants!
The customer service from Conni was great- very helpful and professional. My daughter is approximately 54cm around the waist which makes her fall either into the 2-4 year or the 4-6 year category. I received the 4-6 year pants which were a great fit. Whilst they did look on the small size prior to putting them on (even with the larger size) they actually were a great fit. You obviously don't want the pants too loose otherwise they wouldn't do what they are supposed to do! Having the toggle cords meant I could tailor the size perfectly for my daughter.
My daughter didn't hesitate to trial her new swim pants. They did exactly what they were supposed to. Whilst my daughter doesn't usually poo whilst in water;they seemed to hold her wee which she is prone to do.
The swim pants washed really well after a couple of washes and there were no stains whatsoever.
10 June 2014 - Jess - I was suprised at how quickly the Conni Togglz swim pants arrived in the mail; after letting the CSR know which size we required. They arrived just in time for my daughters swimming lesson which was exciting!
My daughter instantly loved them - in her eyes she's a big girl not a toddler or a 3 year old;and the fact these don't look like regular swim pants or aqua nappies was a big plus. So no carrying on;she happily put them on.
I found them to be fantastic; easier to clean than the speedo aqua nappy we were using (my daughter is toilet trained but accidents do happen occasionally!) As they don't look like a nappy or other types of aqua pants they can be used just as regular swimming bottoms. That's what we did.
My daughter said the swim pants were comfortable; and she liked them. They were snug fitting - as per the design but not that tight that they left red marks on my daughters skin. I liked the fact that around the legs and waist were adjustable rather than just elastic sewn in;and also that the plastic toggles which were used for adjusting were easy for a child to adjust themselves.
She did have a accident in the pool whilst wearing these and I was unaware until we were in the change room - so they do contain the mess as I didn't notice until then.
We have used them a few times now since receiving them; and so far the swim pants are coping well with the chlorine used in our local pool and being washed straight away when we get home. I haven't noticed any fading or decrease in quality of the fabrics/materials used which is fantastic;most other brands have fading that occurs after the first couple of washes and uses in the pool which hasn't happened yet with the Conni Kids Togglz pants.
The cost of the pants; may be off putting for some - its a lot of money to spend on a pair of swim pants - but comparing it to the cost of disposable swim nappies (around $13 a packet) you soon do save money if you go to the pool or beach a lot. I also like the fact that the Conni Kids Togglz swim pants are reusable - therefore more environmentally friendly than disposable swim nappies.
Overall I would highly recommend these to parents who have toilet training children; If i had known about these earlier I definitely would have went out and purchased a pair - much better than the speedo aqua nappy we had been using prior to starting this trial. Since starting the trial I have recommended to some friends with young children and also the other parents in my daughters swimming group - A couple of them have already purchased a pair after hearing what my thoughts on them were and being able to see the pair we had.
21 November 2012 - The Conni Togglz Swim Shorts are fantastic! i love the wetsuit material and they dry alot quicker than I expected. The adjustable leg holes and waist are great around chubby 2 year old legs and pot belly! I imagine they are a wonderful invention for older children or adults who require this type of garment as well. alisjane
18 September 2012 - So hard to find swim shorts that actually do contain the accidents which inevitably happen;this style is different to others available and look great and practical. flipmum
13 September 2012 - I work with children with special needs so have passed this on to them as this could really take off around our school! kimsy
